Papa: “Hi Pipey! What are you doing?”

Me: “Running some errands.”

Papa: “Yeah? What’s your husband doing?”

Me: “He’s on his way to pick up some cows.”

Papa: “He’s going to pick up some towels?”

Me: “No, cows.”

Papa: “Uh-hun… what kind of towels?”

Me: “Not towels. Cows. Hereferd cows.”

Papa: “I just put you on speaker and it cut out. Now say that again so I can undersand.”

Me: “COWS.”

Papa: “You’re gonna have to spell it.”

Me: “C-O-”

Papa: “NANA! CAN YOU TELL WHAT SHE’S TRYING TO SPELL? COME IN HERE AND LISTEN.”

Me: “Are you serious?”

Papa: “Yeah. You need to speak up and that would solve all of our problems.”

Me: “Maybe a hearing aid would solve all of our problems.”

Papa: “Can you explain it some other way?”

Me: “The animal he works with on a daily basis that says moo. Sounds exactly like cow.”

Papa: “Oh, cow. Well why didn’t you say so?”
