Rib eye steak has got to be my favorite cut of steak. It is so tender and flavorful.
It’s also one of the more expensive cuts of steak. So we only endulged in the pricey cut of beef on special occassions.
That is until last week when I stopped by to visit my Nana. She was frying rib eye steak. But her rib eye wasn’t 2″ thick. It was more like 1/4″ thick. I didn’t even know the butcher allowed people to buy rib eye that thin. I figured it was some sort of unspoken rule.
So I immediately went out and bought 5 thinly sliced rib eyes.
Leave it to Nana to stretch a rib eye.
